About Shaun Schroeter, Founder

In December 2009, at the age of 26, Shaun Schroeter’s life changed forever when he was involved in a serious car accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. While the road to recovery was filled with physical, emotional, and logistical challenges, Shaun never let his circumstances define him. Instead, he chose to pursue his lifelong passion for travel—with even more purpose and determination than before.

Through his own experiences navigating airports, public transportation, and cruise terminals around the globe, Shaun became intimately familiar with the many hurdles travelers with disabilities face. From inaccessible restrooms to lack of support at major transit hubs, he quickly realized how little information was readily available to help others like him plan safe, comfortable, and empowering journeys.

This website was born out of that mission.

Shaun is committed to sharing resources, firsthand tips, and accessibility reviews of cities, countries, and modes of travel—by air, land, and sea. His goal is simple: to help people with disabilities experience the world with greater ease, independence, and confidence. Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or an international adventure, you’ll find practical guidance and honest insights to support your journey.

Because everyone deserves the chance to explore the world—on their own terms.
